Tower Hill Methodist Church in Hessle. We are a friendly and welcoming congregation, reaching out to people of all ages through church and secular activities, seeking to follow the way of Jesus and help people on their road to faith in Jesus Christ.

Tower Hill is a place where everyone is encouraged to be themselves, wherever they might find themselves in life; however they might describe their faith or the lack of it.

We ask questions and wonder at answers, deepening our understanding of the call to discipleship through worship, learning together and nurturing faith.

We are a community of people who affirm God's creation of diverse human identities, including ethnicity, gender and sexuality.

Services

Sunday Mornings

Each Sunday we have services at 10.30 a.m. You can join us in person or online via Zoom, for details please email info@thmc.org.uk.

We enjoy a variety of worship from traditional communion services to more informal Prayer and Praise and Family Café services. We have a strong musical tradition with a wonderful organ and a talented music group. Children are welcome at all our services.

Community

We value our links with the community. Every Wednesday we host a warm welcome for all at "the Bridge" in the main church. Join us between 10am and 11.30am. The Bridge is a great place to share a cuppa, connect with others and make new friends. We support our local Food Bank and other nominated charities such as the Leprosy Mission and Jacob's Well.

Baptisms

Baptism shows the love of God for all people, revealed through the life and love, the death and resurrection of Jesus the Christ. It is an occasion of great meaning and joy. The Methodist Church welcomes for Baptism people of all ages, from babes in arms to adults who find faith

If you would like to talk to the minister about Baptism please contact info@thmc.org.uk

Weddings

Getting married in a Christian context involves an act of worship at which legal and solemn promises are made between two people before God. It is also of course, a wonderful celebration of love and shared life, witnessed by family and friends. The Methodist Church celebrates and affirms the love shared between opposite sex and same sex couples.

Tower Hill is registered to marry both same sex and opposite sex couples.

If you would like to find out about getting married at Tower Hill, we'd be delighted to hear from you. Please make contact with the minister through the contact page on this website.

Funerals

From love we came and to love we return. Christians believe that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ give them hope and cause for thanksgiving in the face of death. In this faith, we entrust those who have died to the never-ending love of God.

When a loved one dies, some families choose to have a short service and Committal at the crematorium or cemetery first and if they desire, a service of thanksgiving at the church. Others choose a funeral service at church followed by the Committal at the crematorium or cemetery.

If you wish to talk with the minister about funeral arrangements please contact our minister through the contact page on this website.
