bricknell avenue large

Our first service was held in 1941 at West Bulls Farm, Bricknell Avenue although a Sunday School had already been started the previous year. For some years worship was held in a former chicken hut until sufficient funds were raised to construct the existing buildings in 1952/53. The main Church was constructed later in 1956/57.

We are located in a mixed residential area on Bricknell Avenue close to the boundary with Cottingham. There are 4 primary schools and a large secondary school and Sixth Form College within our catchment area. We are in a prime position to be the centre of the local community and our premises are well used by a number of external organisations including dance groups, slimming groups, table tennis and a drama group. We also have our own groups including a parent and toddler group, fellowship group, Thursday social club and a prayer group.

We hold regular Sunday morning services commencing at 10.30am to which all are welcome. We belong to the Connect 4 Hub of churches which comprises of Trinity, Clowes Memorial with Mosaic as well as ourselves. Periodically we hold joint services with these churches.

We endeavour to keep our premises in good order and have step free access via the car park entrance, an accessible toilet and a loop hearing system in the Church.
