Anlaby Park Methodist Church – A Centre of Mission
|Anlaby Park Methodist Church, a member church of the Evangelical Alliance, is a family church on the outer western suburbs of the City of Hull on the way to Anlaby & Kirkella. Our mission statement ‘to make whole hearted followers of Jesus’ leads our thinking on mission and is expressed in our many all age activities and outreach projects.
Ignition Coffee – on the front of our building is a successful and busy community cafe, which employs several paid staff assisted by a team of volunteers.
Our excellent pre-school is OFSTED registered and regularly receives great comments at inspections.
Brownies, Guides and Rangers are sponsored by the church and meet weekly on the premises.
We hold a two course lunch on a Wednesday where senior people are made welcome, and the Forget me Not group hold a monthly film session; a twice monthly reminiscence session and a monthly ‘get to know how to use your i pad session’.
Worship and prayer is very important to us. Our Sunday Services Messy Church, bible study and prayer groups are all well attended. A prayer texting service is offered to all who request it and individual and corporate prayer underpins all we aim to do. The youth and adult worship bands lead us musically.
EXCITED is our Sunday Children’s work and runs alongside our main morning service – all the church family joining together at the end of the morning.
Our gifted Family Worker leads school assemblies locally and also, with a team of volunteers leads Holidays Clubs and Parent and Toddler Groups weekly.
See our web site for details of our many other outreach activities.
