News from around the circuit

Beverley Circuit

From 1st September Rev. Ann Rigby-Jones the Superintendent of the circuit will also become superintendent for the Beverley circuit. We pray for Ann in her extended role and for greater links between two neighbouring communities. We also pray for Fran Rhys the new minister for Beverley circuit and hope that she settles in well.

Hello and Welcome

We are very excited to Welcome Deacon Ali Hyde who joins us on 1st September. Deacon Ali will be working with Bricknell Avenue, Clowes and Trinity churches. Please join us in praying for her as she joins the circuit and starts her new role. (photo coming soon!) You can catch her welcome service via our recorded worship page.

Goodbye

On Sunday 1st August the circuit will be bidding farewell to Rev. David Spiers and Rev, Sarah Caddell at a service to be held at Trinity Methodist Church at 6.30pm. Everyone is welcome, but it will also hopefully be streamed/youtube (details to follow). Please let your church folk know. You do not need to book, just come along but Trinity would prefer folk to wear masks, but you will be able to sing behind them.

David will be joining Northampton Methodist circuit and Sarah is joining Guernsey Methodist circuit. We will continue to pray as they enter their new chapters of ministry. Thank you for all that you have brought and shared with us over your time here.

Newly Ordained

Matt Sheard (A former member of the circuit) was ordained on 20th June 2021. We pray that God will continue to work through him as he continues his ministry in Bede Methodist Circuit.

Matthew Lunn (a former member of the circuit) was ordained on 19th June 2021. We ask for Gods rich blessings to be on his life as he continues his ministry in Muswell Hill

25th May 2021 ~ Today several of our churches including Anlaby Park, Brough a and Tower Hill became hybrid churches, using technology to enable to in building and online via Zoom at the same time. Priority to attend is offered to the none digital enabled people and then extended to those whose preference is in person. Much work has gone on behind the scenes with risk assessments and technology teams to allow this to take place. Please contact the individual churches to book your place.

Other churches in the circuit have recorded and You Tubed there in person services later in the day.
